The sky lit up brighter on May 19,2022 as the Heaven's gates opened and welcomed Imelda B. Gomez home to be by the Lord's side. She was 68 years old.

Imelda was the most amazing wife to her beloved husband Julio Antonio (Tony) Gomez for 43 years. She had three children who she was so proud of Julio Antonio (Tony) Gomez Jr. and twins Erik (Rae) Gomez and Erika (Arnold) Navarijo.

Her heart was full of love for not only her husband and children but also her grandchildren Yasmine Gomez, Arnold Navarijo Jr., Amaris Gomez, Ace Navarijo, Melania Gomez, Adaejah Navarijo, Avalynn Navarijo, Juliana Gomez, and Erik Gomez Jr. She recently became a Great grandmother in December 2021 to Emauni Navarijo.

She is survived by her Bocanegra sisters and brothers Esmeralda, Andrea, Sotero Jr., Roel, Andres, Noe, Abel, Ray, Henry, Nickolas, and David. She is also survived by her sister in laws, brother in laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Imelda's life will be held on May 31, 2022 at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. The family would like for you to join them for a dinner immediately following the services.
