Beeville, Texas Ignacio Garcia, 88, passed away November 21, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in Kennedy, Texas on October 1, 1926. He served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army. He retired from Civil Service at Chase Field. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Perez Garcia. He is survived by his children, Martha P. (Larry) Cook of Bangor, Maine, Richard P. Garcia of Roundrock, Texas, Ignacio Garcia, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Melba Schafer of Beeville, Texas, and Margie (Gary) Hermes of Coupeville, Wa., eleven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, his siblings, Joe Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Rudy Garcia, Jacinto Garcia, Moses Garcia, Lupe, Mickey, Mary, Lita, Antonia. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
