Hernando Garcia Piña passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 21, 1948 to Braulio Piña and Consuelo Garcia Piña in Tenango de Valle, Mexico.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 49 years Diamantina Sendejo Piña, his daughters Alicia Piña (Joel) Garza, Katherine Piña (Paul) Louck, his 5 grandchildren Xavier Alexander Garza, Alicia Gabriella Piña, Jazmyn Alexa Garza, Andrew Isaac Sanchez, and Angel-Grace Alexis Garza.

Hernando came into the United States to pursue school in Engineering, but his love for mechanics took over. He started his career at Romay's Auto Shop to retiring as the owner of his own business Piña's Imports & Domestic Auto Shop of 38 years. Hernando was a devoted Club America fan, but nothing beat his love and dedication to his grandchildren.

He is proceded in death by his parent's Braulio Piña and Consuelo Garcia Piña, his sister Felicitas Piña Moncayo and his brother Braulio Piña.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 6th at Guardian Funeral Home from 5-8pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm. There will be a Memorial Mass October 8th at 10am at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
