Herminia Garcia Moya, 87 of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on February 21, 2022.

Herminia was born April 28, 1934 in Bee County, TX to Cecilio Garcia and Elvira Moreno.  She was the oldest of 9 dearly loved siblings.  Herminia was married to the love of her life, Marcelo Moya who tragically predeceased her and their 4 young children in 1970.  Despite the early loss of her spouse, Herminia continued to provide for her family with excellent homemaking and gardening skills.  Her children and loved ones benefitted from her love of baking and cooking, especially fresh buttered homemade tortillas.  Her sewing skills were also evident in the creation of elaborate dresses for the Buccaneer Days celebrations.

She leaves to mourn her son Rogerio (Priscilla) Moya, daughter Irma Moya, daughter Elva Moya and son Ricardo (Joan) Moya, 11 grandchildren including Ross Bernal and Audrey Pena who she lovingly raised as her own and 21 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown Access Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78417 Public Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Guardian FH Chapel B, with the Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. that afternoon. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m.

Pallbearers are Rogerio and Matthew Moya, Ricardo and Elias Moya, Ross Bernal, Marcelo Rogerio Godines, Roberto Barrera Jr, and Jorge Miguel Pena, Josh Brunemier.
