Obituary

Hermelinda Z. Gonzales, age 75 passed away September 30, 2022. She was born April 4, 1947 to Maria Virginia Zuniga and Pedro Zuniga in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jose Gonzales, Jr.

Hermelinda was very well known in the Bingo community working as a bingo caller for many many years. She will truly be missed. Hermelinda is in heaven with her wonderful husband where she is in his arms dancing in heaven like she wanted.

Hermelinda was a very big plant lover her favorite thing to do was go outside and water her plants. She was also a Big Dallas Cowboy fan, you could hear her yelling at the tv like if she was there at the game. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids dearly.

Left behind to share Hermelinda's memories are her children, Larry (Melinda) Aguilar, granddaughters Bianca and Bryanna Jackson (Tyler) and three great grandchildren, Eddie Aguilar, granddaughter, Ashley Guerrero (Erik), and three great grandchildren, Tony Aguilar, with four grandchildren, Ruby (Lupe) Alaniz, Savanna & Ruben, Joe, Amy Rose (Richard), Adrian(Dasia) Alaniz with six great grandchildren. She is survived by only two siblings, Elida Pena and Herlinda Zuniga. She was preceded on death by her siblings Raul Zuniga, Reynaldo Zuniga, Ricardo Zuniga, Elena Jasso, Herminia Alaniz , Ramon Flores, Roberto Zuniga and Emma Torres.

Public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Guardian Funeral Home chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral procession will depart funeral home at 9:30 a.m. All services will conclude at the church.

Pallbearers will be Joe Alaniz, Lupe Alaniz, Adrian Alaniz, Reynaldo Garza, Jr., Danny Soto and Richard Garcia.
