Helen Lee, 87, of Corpus Christi, Texas; formerly of San Jose, California was born on September 2, 1934 and passed away on February 9, 2022. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and a longtime active member of the Golden Girls social club.

Helen was a founding member of Golden Girls and worked tirelessly on fundraisers to help the homeless and veterans to name a few. She volunteered her time to Christus Spohn Hospital - South for many years. Recently at the Viera Senior Living facility, when the covid pandemic began, she sewed 100 plus masks to distribute amongst the residents; as well as creating gift baskets for Purple Door Women's Shelter. She was an advocate for animal rights and supported her local no kill animal shelter. These are a few examples of Helen's tireless efforts to make the world a better place. She empathized with the suffering of others and had the will to act on her compassion to make a difference.

Helen Lee was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Josephine Fuentes; sister: Gloria Vigil, and her beloved Husband: Joe Lee of 63 years.

Helen is survived by her brothers: Edward Fuentes, Frank Fuentes and many adoring nieces and nephews.

A rosary service will be held in Corpus Christi at Guardian Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 with a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, the internment will follow at Seaside Cemetery at 11:30. a.m.
