Hector G. Canales, a hardworking planner and devoted son, brother, father and grandfather has unexpectedly passed on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He has pasted at the age of 63, at home in Corpus Christi, TX.

Hector is survived by his children Tracie J. Saldana, Pedro R. Saldana and Jon M Saldana of Corpus Christi, TX. Four grandchildren; Brandon M. Sosa, Makayla R. Gamez, Jayden J. Gamez and Josiah R. Saldana. Hector is predeceased by his parents Pedro G. Canales and Celia G. Canales. By his brothers Locardio "Chris" Canales, Pedro G. Canales Jr, Frederico "Freddy" Canales, Benito "Benny" Canales, Jesus "Jessie" Canales and David G. Canales.

Hector was born in Corpus Christi, TX on November 18, 1957. He received his diploma from Mary Carroll High School class of '75. He also earned his associates degree from Del Mar College class of '95. He was a proud and hard working employee of Zackary refineries for 20 + years. Hector loved sports and loved his family like no other. He enjoyed playing softball with the guys, and coaching his children and grandchildren in all sports. Hector often played travel softball and when he wasn't playing softball, he was spending time with his grandkids. Hector was a loving, kind and giving type of person. He will truly be missed by everyone he knew.

The funeral services are scheduled for March 3rd 10am (public viewing) and service starts at 11:30 am at Guardian Angel funeral home. The burial will be at Ross Hill cemetery at 1:00 pm .
