Obituary

Harold B. Hild, III, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at Christus Spohn South in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graced this world with his vibrant spirit from January 19, 1961, until his journey came to a close. Harold was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Harold B. Hild Jr. and Diamantina Carrizales Hild, and he carried the warmth of his roots throughout his life.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, Harold B. Hild Jr.; his mother, Diamantina C. Hild; his brother, Barney Hild; and his cherished maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia (Pat) Cisneros-Hild, whom he married on October 7, 1989, in Portland, Texas. Together, they shared a remarkable 36 years of marriage and a total of 39 years of companionship, marked by love and laughter.

Harold was a proud father to his sons, Jeremy Hild (Ruth), Trae S. Hild (Krystal), and Travis Hild, as well as his daughter, Angela Cipriani (Wayne). He adored his grandchildren—Alyssa Luna, Jeremy Hild II, Troy Hild, Zuri Hild, Keegan Cipriani, and Talen Cipriani—who were the lights of his life and brought him immeasurable joy.

A graduate of W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi in 1980, Harold dedicated over 20 years of his life to working at Kennedy Wire Rope, transitioning from working in the oil field as a splicer to a successful career in Outside Sales and as a Sales Representative at Hoisting Wire Rope and Horizon Wire Rope. His professionalism and dedication earned him respect among his colleagues and clients alike.

Harold was not just a devoted employee; he was also an integral part of his community. A long-time member of Solid Rock Church in Corpus Christi, he actively participated in Vacation Bible School and church productions as a spotlight operator. He found camaraderie and joy playing on the church's softball team for many years.

An avid hunter, Harold cherished the thrill of being out in the field, especially on opening day when he would find himself in a blind somewhere in Texas. Fishing was another passion of his, whether offshore or in the bay, and he loved spending time with his sons and close friends in pursuit of the perfect catch.

Known for his stylish appearance—always in blue jeans, starched shirts, and ropers—Harold had a unique ability to make others laugh, often bringing smiles even in the most embarrassing moments. His unwavering sense of humor and zest for life made him a cherished companion to all who knew him.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who cared for Harold during his illness, especially the compassionate staff at Oso Bay Renal and Christus Spohn South. Your kindness and dedication did not go unnoticed. A special thank you to Guardian Funeral Home for making this process easy during such a difficult time.

A funeral service to celebrate Harold's life will be held on August 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Guardian Funeral Home, located at 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, Texas. Prayer service to begin at 6:30 pm. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring the remarkable life of Harold B. Hild, III.

As we gather to remember Harold, we will carry his spirit with us, honoring the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace.
