Hanns Victor Lewis died Friday, October 30, 2015, at the age of 70. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas July 14, 1945, to James S. Lewis and June M. Lewis.

Victor graduated from the University of Texas Austin in 1966. He served as an information specialist in the United States Army from 1968 to 1969. He was the acting National News Editor for the Boston Globe in 1979 when he was accepted to the Harvard University Nieman Fellowship program. Victor finished his journalism career at the Globe and retired to Corpus Christi.

Victor was an avid world news, national events follower. He enjoyed cooking, conversation, family, cigars and the Texas Lottery. He also greatly enjoyed walks in Cole Park with Judy and Tootsie.

Victor is preceded in death by his father James S. Lewis, his sister Beverly Hardeman, and his brother Carl Lewis.

Victor is survived by is brothers James B. Lewis (Lynn), David L. Lewis (Karlene), Michael J. Lewis (Edwyna), numerous nieces and nephews, and very special friend Judy Butler.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 6, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
