Guillermo G. Cortez passed away on March 28, 2025 at the age of 83. Born on November 6, 1941, Guillermo lived through eight remarkable decades.

His life span of times was of great change and growth, and left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Guillermo is survived by his son, Andres Cortez; his daughters, Viola C. Salinas, Oliva C. (Bill) Clark, Blanca C. (Corando) Moya, Cynthia C. Burkett, Maria C. (William) Pedigo; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild, four sisters, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on June 12th from 8:30am-10:30am with the burial to follow at The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11am.
