Guadalupe R. Escamilla passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born in Donna, Texas on March 29, 1937, to Ventura Rodarte and Conception Canche.

Lupita dedicated her life to her family, raising six children with love, patience, and wisdom. She found joy in cooking, always making sure everyone had a full plate and a warm heart. Her passion for gardening filled her home with beauty and provided a place for peace and reflection.

Beyond her family, Lupita was a worker for 50 years, demonstrating an incredible work ethic and commitment to everything she did. Her resilience and determination were an inspiration to those around her.

She is survived by four children, Sonia E. Dela Garza (Bob), Pedro Escamilla, Jr., Americo Escamilla, Alicia E. Pena.(Thomas), grandchildren, Fermin, Adela, Monica, Iris, Pedro III, Crystal, Jackie, Richard Jr., Cassandra, Savannah, Cierra, Serena, Virgil, Christopher, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Lira, Escamilla, daughter Leticia E. Villarreal, son Ricardo Escamilla.

Her love, kindness and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th at 9am-11:30am at Guardian Funeral Home . We will then travel in a formal funeral procession to St. Joseph's Catholic Church for a 12pm Rosary and 12:30pm Funeral Mass . The Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery .
