Guadalupe (Lupe) Ortiz Cruz born to Juana(Janie) Garza and Pedro J Ortiz on December 21, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lupe was a steak cutter by trade working 30 plus years at Sam Kane Beef Processing and 10 years at Hauseman Meat Co retiring only because of health issues. She loved playing bingo and slot machines and usually won at both of them. She was quick at "comebacks " and always was the spark in any gathering.

Lupe was preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers Pete Jr and Juan(Johnny) Ortiz.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Lisa Valdez, sisters Mary Gauger and Rosie (Michael) Coker, brother Richard (Patsy) Ortiz as well as several nieces, nephews and grand /great nieces and nephews that loved their Aunt Lupe!!
