Graciela "Gracie" Cuellar (Martinez), born February 1, 1965, aged 61, passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 8, 2026. Gracie is survived by her loving husband, of 40 years, Joe Cuellar; daughter, Valerie Martinez; son, Joe Cuellar Jr; and her cherished grandchildren, Giuliana (16), Mariella (15), Cesar (14), J.J. (11), Jordan (7), and Javier (4). She was preceded in death by her father, Cesar Zamora, Maria F. Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Francisco Antonio Martinez, and Mary Delsa De La Rosa.Gracie was a graduate of Miller High School and had a fulfilling career, first as a floor supervisor for ADA Wilson, assisting special needs patients, and later at JC Penney in the custom drapery department until her retirement in 2023. Known for her infectious smile and amazing laugh, Gracie had a profound ability to care for her family and lived passionately for her grandchildren. Her playful, silly nature brought joy to all who knew her. She was revered as an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, always ready to support her loved ones in any way she could. Moreover, Gracie was a fighter, never backing down from the challenges life threw her way.Gracie enjoyed reading, going to concerts, Broadway shows, participating in Zumba, listening to music; she loved Journey, La Movida, Mazz, Metallica and Bone Thugs -n-Harmony. She especially loved watching WWE with her grandchildren, sharing moments of excitement and joy with them. Visitation starts at 4:00 p.m. with a rosary service will be held in her honor at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Guardian Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, TX 7417. Gracie's life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
