Saenz, Grabiela "Debbie" (nee Marez)
It is with great sadness that the family of Grabiela Saenz announces her passing on Friday, September 14th, 2018, at the age of 60 years.  Grabiela was affectionately known as "Debbie" by her family and friends.  Debbie will forever be rembembered by her husband of 37 years, Robert and by her children, Andrew (Kathryn), Celeste (Pete), Veronica (Ben), and Chrissy (Eduardo) Castillo.  The true light of Debbie's life were her 7 grandchildren, Roland, Jaime, Araceli, Diego, Ryan, Eva, and Jacob.  Debbie has been reunited with her loving mother, Jesusa Cavasos Marez who passed away in 1968.  Debbie was also preceded in death by her step-mother Delfina Marez.  Debbie will forever be honored by her father, Rev. Edwardo Marez, as well as her brothers and sisters, Dan (Virginia), Rudy (Grace), Mary Elizabeth, Rosemary (Richard), Sylvia (Ramon), and Eddie (Cory).  Debbie adored and doted on her numerous nieces and nephews.  Debbie worked for the Corpus Christi Independent School District for many years and made a great number of lifelong friends.  Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Guardian funeral home.  A rosary will be prayed for the repose of her soul at 7:00 p.m also at Guardian funeral home.  The funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 before proceeding to Holy Family Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Marez, Roland Castillo, Jaime Castillo, Roel Gutierrez, Mario Luis Saenz, Jr., Philip Marez and Ben Requena.
