Gloria G. Trevino, 80, passed away on October 5, 2016. She was born on August 12, 1936 in Alice, Texas to Fortunato and Maria Anita Garcia. Gloria is preceded in death by her son, Leroy Cantu; parents, Fortunato and Maria Anita Garcia; sisters, Elva Perez, and Aida Lumetta; brothers, Alonzo Garcia, Braulio Garcia, and Oscar Garcia. She is survived by her brother Fortunato Garcia Jr., daughter, Gloria (Ann) Davis (Jeff); son, Noe Cantu Jr. (Sylvia); grandchildren, Steven, and Rebecca; great-grandsons, Landyn, and Anthony Sanders.

Gloria lived her life with much joy and love. She was kind, patient, sweet, and most of all, was blessed with a forgiving spirit. Gloria's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, and had a special spot in her big chair to share with her great-grandson, Landyn. She was light on life, and most of her challenges were considered "no big deal." She loved deeply and lived well. She will be dearly missed but the time came for her to finally rest in peace.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday,October 9, 2016 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Santa Rosa De Lima Mission, in San Jose, Texas. Burial will follow at La Muralla Ranch cemetery in San Jose, Texas.
