Giovanni Delzotto, age 72, took his last fishing trip on April 14, 2014. He was born on February 20th 1942 in Dignano, Istria to Francesco Delzotto and Maria Clivo Delzotto.
He came to New York in 1964, where he met his true love and wife of 45 years Roseanna. Before moving to Texas in 1992 he was a well-known chef in Long Island, New York. He cooked for Corpus Christi for over 20 years at Mama Mia's.
Gianni knew how to put a smile on your face. He loved to sing, dance and joke. He was known well for his love to fish and cook. He filled our bellies with gourmet food and our lives with love. He played the lotto every week hoping for his big win. Always bragging that he already had 5 million dollars, each of his daughters was worth a million dollars to him. Gianni was the most kind and loving man. Everyone who met him loved him. We are all very grateful to have been part of his life.
Gianni was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents Francesco and Maria Delzotto. He is survived by his wife Roseanna. His 5 daughters Angela, Caroline, Jennifer, Amy and Laura. His 9 grandchildren. His brother Marino and sisters Maria and Edda. His endless amount of friends and his loyal dog Maisie. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. and services at 5:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown S.H. 286.
