Gilbert S. Perez 77, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday July 14, 2018. Gilbert was born on October 12,1940, in Corpus Christi, TX. He was proceeding in death by his parents Felix S. Perez and Stella S. Cantu.
Gilbert graduated in 1959 from Roy Miller high school. He served 22 years in the US Marine Corps, served in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. He also retired from the US Postal Service. Gilbert is survived by brother Lorenzo Perez (Mary), sister Sylvia Medrano (Salvador) and brothers Armando Perez ( Sylvia) and Rene Perez (Elena), Niece Sandra Seaton (Robert), Stella Bartlett (Dan), Unice Delabarcena (Oscar), Nephews Richard Medrano (Jennifer), Nacho Perez and Lorenzo Perez.
Visitation will be at 5 pm to 9pm July 19 2018 at Guardian funeral home chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 PM that evening.Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on July 20, 2018 at our Lady of Perpetual Help, 5830 Williams Dr, Corpus Christi, TX. Burial will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
