Gilbert Cuellar, age 69, passed away on December 14, 2024. He was born in Victoria, Texas to Raymundo Cuellar Sr. and Celia S. Cuellar on September 10, 1955. He was raised in Port Lavaca Texas where he joined the marines. He later came home to continue his father's legacy of shrimp boat captain. He enjoyed supporting his family as a material coordinator at different refineries.
Gilbert married his wife, Rosalba (of 12 years) on April 21, 2012. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and great grandpa. He enjoyed working on his home and barbecuing for his flourishing family. He will always be remembered for his loving heart, devotion to family, and Christian values. Gilbert is greeted at the gates of Heaven by his father Raymundo Cuellar Sr., mother, Celia S. Cuellar, brother, Ricardo, sister, Delia and granddaughter Jazmin. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rosalba Cuellar, brothers: Raymundo and Jesse, sisters: Linda, Sylvia, Virginia, sons: Paul, Alex, & Gilbert Jr, and daughter Darlene. As well as 6 grandkids, 1 great grandson, many nieces and nephews.

Public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Guardian funeral home chapel "B" with an Evening Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 3, 2025 starting at 9:00 a.m. at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Funeral Service to be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow with Full Military Honors at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery 9974 I.H. 37 North Access Rd. at 1:00 p.m.
