Georgia Maybelline Braken Baker was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on June 11 th , 1935 and passed away on January 25 th , 2022.  She was the oldest of 6 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marlon James Thomas Bracken and Ruby Inez Vanlandingham, her husband of 43 years Rev. Samuel E. Baker, her youngest daughter Georgia Ann Tompkins, 2 brothers James Bracken and Eugene Bracken, 2 sisters Evelyn Wilson and JoAnn Wilson.

She is survived by her sister Jewell Watts and her 6 remaining children, Rhonda Griffiths, Rose Hutchings (husband Bill), Richard Baker (wife Tresea), Rise Baker, Sheila Garza and Samuel E. Baker Jr. (wife Criselda)

Georgia has 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She also had numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved.

She was a licensed nurse for many years until her retirement in 2009 at the age of 75.

Georgia loved to embroidery, knit and crochet.  She was an animal lover and loved to go fishing.  She was always happy to see those she loved and welcomed them with a hug and a smile.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 5 th at 3:00 pm at Trinity Churchh of Nazarene at 6225 Weber Rd in Corpus Christi, Texas.
