George Hall, 87, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away March 3, 2016 after a short illness. He was born December 10, 1928 to Robert Scott and Ruby Lavada (Swinney) Hall, the first of four children, in Bailey, Texas, Fannin County. He married Margot (Eichler) Hall in February, 1947 in Hof, Germany. They were married 56 years until her passing. They have three living children. He married Tina (Angeli) Hall in May, 2005 in Corpus Christi.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and during the Korean Conflict. He went to Barber College on the G.I. Bill and owned and operated several shops and restaurants. His first barbershop was "Harmony Barber Shop" in Odessa, Texas. He competed all over Texas as a member of the barbershop quartet. He has resided in Corpus Christi since 1966. Many men can remember sitting in George's chair getting thier first haircuts. In 1978, at age 50, George went back to college and became an accountant, working for Corpus Christi Army Depot, as parts buyer, on the Apache Helicopter, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans organization for 35 yrs. He was an avid fisherman.
He leaves behind his wife, Tina Hall, his daughter Helen (Jim) Wallace of Ohio, his son Michael Hall, his son Eric Hall, stepchildren Pamela Ward, Marcella (Shawn) Lockett, and Richard Clifford, Jr. and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren of whom he was so proud. He loved and is survived by his sister Nancy (Sam) Marino of Michigan, sister-in-law Audrey Hall of Michigan and sister-in-law Sharron (Frank) Clifton of Oklahoma. Cousins, family and friends are well remembered.
He is predeceased by his first wife Margot Hall, one baby boy, his Mother and Father, his brother Preston (Audrey) Hall and his brother Harold-Wayne (Sharron) Hall.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at 9974 Interstate 37, the Coastal Bend Texas State Veterans Cemetery. All are welcomed.
