George Aguilar, 47 years of age passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

He was born on March 15, 1976 to his parents Juan Zapata Aguilar and Guadalupe Aguilar in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Although a man of few words he loved his friends and family unconditionally. He devoted many years of service to the Omni Hotel. He never dwelled upon the difficulties of life, always with a light heart and a smile on his face. He had a sharp, analytical mind, with a knack for smart investments. His green thumb was unmatched; the garden he kept was filled with countless fruits, herbs, and vegetables. In his free time he enjoyed playing pool or throwing darts; simply passing time with his friends, enjoying life. His life was filled with great joy and brought unending happiness to those around him. His legacy of love will live on for years to come.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, along with his brother Jessie Aguilar of California.

George leaves behind his spouse Dolores Y. Padilla; siblings: Sonia (Roel +) Alaniz of Texas, Salvador Garcia of Texas, Christina Aguilar of California, and Alma Aguilar of California; daughter April Marie Padilla (Irvin Leal); grandchildren Ian Leal and Eli Leal; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved.

Public visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Guardian funeral home with a Holy rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that evening followed by shared memories of George's beautiful life.

Visitation will continue on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Guardian funeral home with the funeral procession to depart at 11:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
