Georg "G" Johnson 62 years old, a husband, father, brother, and friend, left to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 30, 2018, surrounded by his loving family after courageously battling illness. "G" was born on August 1, 1955 to the late Homer and Bess Mae Johnson.

He proudly attended Roy Miller High School of Corpus Christi, Texas. "Once A Buc Always a Buc"! "G" attended West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. He was a devoted member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. "G" united in holy matrimony to his soul mate, Kenja James Johnson, on December 30, 1995. To this union a son was born, Miles G. Johnson."G" attended St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, Corpus Christi, Texas and later joined St. Paul United Methodist Church, Corpus Christi, Texas.He began his professional career as a probation officer and licensed social worker. "G" was the Coordinator for Parent and Family Involvement for the Corpus Christi Independent School District where he mentored many children and supported their families.He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Kenja, his sons Timothy Montgomery and Miles Johnson of Corpus Christi, Texas, his brother Charles Johnson of Austin, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Communities in Schools of the Coastal Bend at P.O. Corpus Christi, Texas. A pre-service tribute by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. will be held at 12:15pm and services will begin at 1:00pm Saturday, August 4, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 900 S. Shoreline Blvd.
