Genaro "Jerry" Perez, 59, of Corpus Christi, TX, peacefully passed away on August 8, 2023, in his hometown. He was born on June 21, 1964, in Corpus Christi, TX, to the late Jenaro Perez and Audelia Salinas.

Throughout his life, Jerry embraced a multitude of professions, demonstrating his resilience and versatility as a true jack of all trades.

With the unconditional love and support from his family, along with his strong and stubborn will, Jerry's battle with cancer lasted for 20 years. He was a fighter and throughout his journey, no matter how hard the disease was on his body, his will to overcome the disease was even stronger. He remained in and out of remission until his recent passing.

Jerry enjoyed restoring classic hot rods, fishing, and had a niche for collecting sports cards. Though he may not have  wanted to admit it, Jerry also loved talking to people. He always had a story to tell about a person he randomly met at the grocery store or while he was out running errands. His family will miss hearing all the silly stories he shared, and his questionable taste in movies, but they find peace in knowing he's  eternally resting now with the Lord and his family of angels that awaits.

Jerry leaves behind a lasting legacy and will be deeply missed by his cherished wife, Cynthia De La Cruz, his loving son, Jerry Perez, and his beloved daughter, Victoria Perez. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Antonio (Tony) Perez and Diana Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jenaro Perez and Audelia Salinas, as well as his siblings, Ricardo Perez, Cruz Perez, and Maria (Mary) Perez.

In remembrance of Jerry's remarkable life and to honor his memory, a traditional memorial service will take place on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 , at Guardian Funeral Home. The commemorative gathering will commence at 4:00 p.m., followed by the solemn services at 6:00 p.m.

Jerry's departure has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul find eternal peace as his memory lives on in our hearts and minds.
