Gary was a great story teller, he painted vivid details of his adventures of his childhood with his siblings. You'd think you were watching a movie by the time he was done. Gary was comical without trying very hard. He had a laugh so infectious, you had no choice but to laugh. We would often times find him watching old black and white cowboy movies. Gary was an avid reader. He loved Stephen King novels. He was also a die heart Cowboys fan win or lose and they lost a lot. Ha!Ha!
Destined to drive a freight liner, he loved the open road and found a new purpose. If you talked to him during this time you could hear how proud he was of himself. Driving state to state thrilled by the challenge of new open roads.
He loved his role as grandpa. He always talked about his grandkids and eager to hear what they were doing. He lived vicariously through their accomplishments and adventures.
