Frank Douglas "Doug" Hadamek, 76, went to be with his heavenly Father on July 20, 2014. He was born on September 9, 1938, in Cuero, Texas to the late Frank W. Hadamek and Essie Hadamek Buch.
Doug was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Known to his family as Papa, Grandpa Doug, and Uncle Duck, he was best known for capturing our hearts with his crazy antics, endless stories, and tall tales. We will truly miss the laughter he brought into our lives.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Herbert Buch; and a beloved son, Jimmy Lee Hadamek.
He is survived by his sons, Melvin G. Hadamek (Jacqueline); Frank D. Hadamek (Barbara); daughters, Darlene J. Gerlach (David), Charlene Deck; a sister, Margaret Ellinghausen (Victor); half-sisters, Nancy Wursthorn (Tom), Sue Cranford, Daisy Lindsey, Janet Richter (Joe); a half-brother, Frank Hadamek Jr.; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Cornerstone Church, 3409 Waldron Road,
Corpus Christi.
