Today, we honor the life of Francisco A. Vasquez Sr., born on September 6, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Francisco was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband. He was blessed with six children, five daughters and one son—whom he loved deeply. 

A hardworking and dedicated provider, he always put his family first and would go to great lengths to ensure their happiness and well-being. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. Francisco was also talented at woodworking and enjoyed creating wooden crafts, as well as drawing. Some of his greatest joys came from spending time with his children—taking them on summer vacations, to the park, skating, or simply on late-night drives. No matter how tired he was, he always made time for his family, showing his unwavering love and commitment. In addition to his many talents, Francisco was a skilled mechanic, known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Elena Vasquez; his sister, Elodia Ramirez; and his brothers, Max Vasquez and Richard Vasquez.

Francisco is survived by his children: Yolanda Hernandez; Alicia Reney (Richard Reney); Francisco Vasquez Jr.; Mary Robles (Adolph Robles); Belinda Vasquez (Robert Rios); and Oralia Gonzalez (Ernesto Gonzalez), along with his nieces, nephews, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry on his legacy. Though he is no longer with us, his love, strength, and the lessons he shared will remain in our hearts forever.

Public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Guardian funeral home chapel 5922 Crosstown with a Service to Celebrate Francisco's life to begin at 6:30 p.m.
