Francis Paul
Zuyus
Feb 18, 1942 — Aug 25, 2026
Francis Paul Zuyus, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on February 18, 1942, in Queens, New York.
Francis was a devoted husband, father, and friend whose greatest joy was his family. He shared more than 40 years of marriage and a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Evelyn Zuyus. Together they built a family and a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant after serving honorably from 1963 to 1990, including service in Vietnam. His dedication to his country reflected the strength, courage, and selflessness that marked his life.
Francis loved baseball, fishing, muscle cars, and, above all, his family. He was known for his kind heart, his generosity, and his wonderful sense of humor. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a gift for storytelling, and his stories, laughter, and wisdom will remain with those who loved him.
To his family he was far more than a husband and father. He was a source of love, strength, laughter, and guidance. His presence brought warmth to everyone around him, and his memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
Francis is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Zuyus; his children, Christopher Zuyus and his wife Valerie, Gwynne and her husband Kevin, and Heather; his grandchildren, Alaria, Aris, Kevin Jr., Stephen, and Christian; his great-grandchildren; his four-legged companion, Nova; and his extended family and friends, who loved him dearly.
Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the stories he shared, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family forever. He served his country, loved his family, and gave so much of himself to others. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
