Frances Martinez Medrano, 69 years of age, passed away on May 12, 2025. She was on June 11, 1955, in Corpus Christin, Tx.

Her passions were as vibrant as her personality. Frances's love for the music of Jimmy Gonzales y Grupo Mazz was known to all, as she never missed an opportunity to dance to their tunes. She found pleasure in the simple joys of life, like her frequent shopping trips to Walmart, where she delighted in finding treasures for her family and friends. An avid traveler, Frances embraced adventures and the chance to explore new places

Survived by her adoring mother, Maria D. Martinez, Frances's spirit lives on through her beloved children, Priscilla (Oscar Delgado) Lugo, Samuel Lugo Jr., Alfredo Jose Lugo, and Tomasa M. Lugo. Her legacy is further celebrated by her 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye and her source of endless pride. Frances's love story continues through her devoted domestic partner, Jose Contreras, who stood by her side with unwavering support and affection.

Frances was a sister, an aunt, and a friend, leaving behind her brothers Peter (Cindy) Martinez, and her sisters Rachel Rubio, Rosa Dunne, Janie Ybarra, and Lupita Garza. Her numerous nieces and nephews will remember her for her warmth, her guidance, and the joy she brought to family gatherings.

Frances was preceded in death and reunited with her beloved father Enrique L. Martinez.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Guardian Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
