Frances Louise (Thrasher) Fromme, of Corpus Christi, died unexpectedly on January 11, 2024.  She was 79 years old.  The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.  Fran was born on February 7, 1944, attended school in Flour Bluff, and lived in Corpus Christi for most of her life.

Fran married Michael Burkhart in 1968 and together they raised three sons. Though they divorced and both went on to remarry, Fran & Mike remained in touch throughout their lives. Mike passed away in 2023.

Fran married Anthony (Tony) Fromme in 1993. He was the love of her life. Together they travelled the US for Tony's work. They enjoyed fishing and hunting together. Tony passed away in 2019.

Fran was loved by all her family and friends and brought a smile or laughter with her kindness, sense of humor, and sweet voice and unique laugh. She was a very gentle, kind loving and hard-working lady who loved the Lord and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Fran is survived by her son Mitch (Christine) Burkhart of Robstown, TX, brother Frank (Nancy) Thrasher of Salem, OR, sisters Linda Smith of Sweeny, TX, and Gaylene (Daryl) Kihs of Jefferson, OR, 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and an abundance of other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Fromme, and sons Joe and John Burkhart.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 4:00 pm at Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi.
