Obituary

Forney Duyane Hindsley passed away Tuesday March 25,surrounded by family and loving friends. Duyane was born to Dalton and Ola Dykes Hindsley January 12, 1925 in Rule, Texas.
Duyane was a veteran of World War II and distinguished himself in battle, earning 2 Purple Hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife LaVoris, a daughter Carla Elease Hindsley.
Duyane is survived by his wife Bettye, his children, Patricia Elaine (Ernest) Hall, Lisa Jeneane Hindsley, Samuel Michael Hindsley, Grandchildren, Harold Edward Warnock, Darol Eugene Warnock, Misti Dawn Donnelly, Wendy Day Donnelly and 8 great grandchildren, Step children, Elizabeth (Bob) Berry, Jennifer (Bob)Cox, Robin (Howard)Jones 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.Duyane went to Abilene Christian College where he studied, and later taught agriculture. Duyane was a missionary overseas and continued to preach God's word the rest of his life. A memorial service will be held at Kings Crossing Church of Christ 5901 Yorktown Blvd Corpus Christi Monday March 31, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. with inurnment to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery 9974 IH 37 Access Road Corpus Christi.
