Flavio "Fito" Gonzales Trevino
Corpus Christi , TX
Flavio (Fito) Gonzales Trevino, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 9, 2015. He was born May 7, 1935, in Mercedes, Texas to Toribio Trevino and Celestina Gonzales.
Mr. Trevino is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lydia P. Trevino, brothers and sisters.
Flavio was a co-owner of Shellmar Appliance Company and retired in 1998. He later returned to Shellmar as a part-time employee up to the day of his sudden illness that led to his passing.
Fito loved the outdoors, loved to travel the states from the mountains to the beaches and everything in between. But, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Flavio is survived by his loving children Rudy Trevino, Roy (Janie) Trevino of Corpus Christi, Rick (Susie) Trevino of Jupiter, Fl. Juanita (Fernando) Ochoa of Katy, TX. Rey (Blanca) Trevino and Adelita (Paul) Clemones of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Melissa, Vanessa, Bianca, Alexandria, Fernando Jr., Rudy Lee, Justin and Zachary. Five great grandchildren: Justine, Gia, Arianna, Olivia and Christine. He is also survived by one brother Ernesto Trevino, Mercedes, TX., numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 9:00pm with a rosary recited at 8:00pm, on Monday, April 13th, 2015, at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, TX.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1pm on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015, at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington St., Corpus Christi, TX.
Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
