Gonzalez Sr, his brothers, Rodolfo Gonzalez Jr, Hipolito Gonzalez, nephews Reuben Anthony Gonzalez, John Stacy Olvera, Jerome Olvera, great nephew Jon-Vincent Maldonado uncles, Carlos Gonzalez, Hipolito Gonzalez, Felix Gonzalez, Gonzalo Gonzalez, aunts Gabina Bazan and Rita Perez, Julia Gonzalez, Bernarda Moreno.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 55 years Sylvia G. Gonzalez, his sons Paul Gonzalez and Felix Gonzalez Jr, grandchildren: Ashley R. Gonzalez, David A. Gonzalez, Alex (Joanna) Gonzalez, Katy (Eric) Heatherley, Sydney Fling and great-granddaughter Camilla Gonzalez.

Siblings: Rita (Don) Ybanez, Marta Galvan, Rosie (Rolando) Vasquez, Rudy (Lupita) Gonzalez Jr., Samuel (Lisa) Gonzalez, Reuben (Melodie) Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez and Diana (Tim) Reddell, sister-in-law Cynthia S. Gonzalez.

Felix proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He retired from the Corpus Christi Army Depot in 2015 after 38 years.

He was a man of strong faith and follower of Yeshua (Jesus) since March 1977 when he accepted Yeshua as his Lord and Savior.  His unwavering faith in Yeshua was an inspiration to all who knew him. His life was guided by the teachings of Yeshua.  Felix loved reading and study His Word, and lived his life according to Christian principles. He was a devout Christian and a strong believer in Yeshua.

Felix loved listening to praise and worship music daily and basked in Yahweh's (God's) presence.  It's in His presence where he gained strength to deal with life's challenges.  It's in His presence where he sought the Lord for wisdom and knowledge.  He could lose himself for hours in the presence of his Heavenly Father.  All who knew him know this to be true

Felix met the love of his life when he was assistant manager at Burger Chef and hired Sylvia for a summer job.  They later married and started their family together and he left behind a wonderful legacy that will never be forgotten.   He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros fan.  He loved telling funny jokes to all that would listen including strangers. He was definitely a master of dad jokes and jokester at all times.  What Felix enjoyed the most was to be surrounded by his family, friends and his wife cooking his favorite meals.  He gladly volunteered to go to HEB and buy everything she needed to cook his favorite meals, plus of course he added a few extra snacks for himself that were not on the list.

He was always happy to hear from his family and greeted everyone with a smile. He was a perfect example of a father, provider, and man of Yahweh (God) that every son needs to be successful in life.  He was looked up to by so many, yet he never accepted the fact that he was a hero to all of us.  We loved him to the moon and back, and will continue to love him for the rest of our lives.

Felix will be greatly missed by so many, there is now a great void in our daily lives.  We shall keep him alive in our hearts by remembering the precious memories he blessed us with. We shall continue to repeat the jokes he shared to bring laughter in our lives and the lives of others.

Most importantly remember all the times Felix shared God's word with you, and all the Godly advice he was led to share with you. His favorite scriptures were:

John 3:16 (NKJV)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away behold, all things have become new.
