Felipe Cisneros Garza peacefully passed away on December 26, 2021. He was 91 years old. Felipe was born on July 14, 1930 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Isabel Cisneros and Prisciliano Garza. Felipe is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Isabel Caballero (Garza), whom he married In September 1973 in Brownsville, Texas. Felipe and Maria recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.
Felipe is preceded in death by his parents, Prisciliano Garza and Isabel Cisneros, and his four siblings, Guadalupe Garza, Hortencia Garza, Adelina Perez, and Dolores Hinojosa.
Felipe is survived by his wife of 48 years (Maria); two daughters: Dolores (Alfredo) Carrisalez and Norma Garza; five grandchildren: Matthew, Alejandro, Oscar, Dulce, Nancy and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Felipe served as a Janitor at Ada Wilson Hospital in Corpus Christi, Tx for many years. His favorite hobbies included fishing with his wife, brother in law (Aristeo Hinojosa) and closest friends Eddie & Andres, singing, doing puzzles, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered as a beloved grandfather, father, husband, uncle, brother and friend.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Corpus Christi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Corpus Christi Hospice, with a special thanks to Debbie Pulido for her kindness and support.
Public Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S Padre Island Dr.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St
