Fanny M. Gonzales, 81, passed away January 29, 2018 in Austin, Texas. She was born in Waco, Texas on April 7, 1936 to Andrew and Carmen Hurtado Martinez who preceded her in death. Fanny was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and Active member of Devine Mercy Group. Fanny was a member of the American G.I. Forum and had worked for Dr. Hector P. Garcia, and she graduated from Roy F. Miller High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Gonzales, Sr. and a brother, Andrew Martinez. She was a loving mother, grandmother and she will be dearly missed and never forgotten. She is survived by her children, Veronica Gonzales (Ian) Li-Pelaez, Alfredo M. Gonzales, Jr., Linda Gonzales (Charles "Pat") Patteson, four grandchildren, Zachary, Zoe, Zane and Zia Gonzales and their mother, Susan Foley Gonzales. She is survived by her siblings, Mary E. Ramos, Gregoria Martinez, Luis Martinez (Josie), and Gilbert Martinez (Dina), and numerous nieces & nephews. Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church S.P.I.D/Kostoryz. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
