Obituary

Fabian Eloy Rios Jr., age 73, passed away on July 27, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was born on August 27, 1946 in Kingsville, Texas to Fabian Eloy Rios Sr. and Carolina Rios.
A Vietnam Veteran and retired civil servant, Fabian was known for his humor and love of socializing, leaving a lasting impression on anyone that ever met him, as he could never go anywhere without stopping to say hello to someone he knew. Nothing brought him greater joy than being in the presence of his family. The love he had for his children was immeasurable, a love that would extend even to his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fabian Eloy Rios Sr. and Carolina Rios, and his sister Rachel Rios.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Emilia Rios; siblings: Maria Elena Mora (Jesus), Oscar Rios (Teresa), Elias Rios, Sally Lara, and Cristella Rios; sons: Fabian Eloy Rios III (Viola), Javier Rios (Monica), his only daughter: Iris Rios-Guajardo (Jason); 10 grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Visitation will be held form 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m that evening

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church 3210 SPID.

Burial will follow in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Full Military honors.
