IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Evelyn Sue
Gonzlaes
July 11, 1965 – August 4, 2020
Evelyn Sue Gonzales born on Sunday, July 11,1965, at the age of 55, of Kenedy, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Evelyn's strength and compassion came from her faith in the Lord. The most important aspects of her life were her two daughters (whom she was very proud of), her family, and friends. Evelyn was kind, carefree, fun loving and full of hearty laughter. Never selfish, always willing to lend a helping hand all delivered with her own joking ways, and a beautiful bright red lipstick smile.
Our thoughts and love are always with you,
Your places no one will ever fill.
A sister is God's way of proving he doesn't want us to walk alone.
Sisters are for sharing laughter and wiping tears.
Our blood says we're sisters,
Our hearts say we're friends and
we will always stand together even after life on earth ends.
In life, we loved you dearly,
In death, we love you still.
God will link the broken chain
As one by one we meet again.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her sister Eunice Gonzales; maternal grandmother, Telesfora Vela; maternal grandfather, Frederico Vela; and paternal grandfather, Eugenio Gonzales.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters Ashley Elena Gonzales and Analydia Montes; sister, Elizabeth "Liz" (Charleston "Chuck") Martin; parents, Helen Vela Gonzales and Eugene D. Gonzales, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Tomasa Diaz; nieces: Jessica Lauren Martin, Brittany Salina (Ruben Jr.) Martinez, and Dominique Telesfora Martin; nephew: Timothy Jordan Gonzales; especially loved great nieces and great nephews; her companion Mark Montes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Church prayer services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Church of Hope on 13024 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, Texas with the Pastor Rod Young, officiating. Burial will follow at Loma Alta Cemetery in Kenedy, Texas. Please keep Evelyn and her family in strong prayers.
