Eva M. Gonzales age 81 of Flour Bluff TX, passed away on September 19, 2024. Born on July 31, 1943, in Beeville, TX. She was the daughter of Trino and Amada Martinez.

Eva dedicated many years to education as a Teacher Assistant, initially at Jackson School within the Beeville Independent School District, before continuing her passion at Martin Middle School in Corpus Christi. Known for her elegance and flair, Eva was often seen dressed to the nines, enjoying life fully. She was deeply involved in her community, frequently volunteering at the local Food Bank and Community Garden.

She was an active member of the Herbalife Fitness Club. She even found time to model at Catherine's Clothing Store. She spent quiet times walking on the pier with her special companion Eduardo (Lalo) Elias and her furbabies, Lucky and Tiger.

A devout member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eva's faith was an integral part of her life. This faith helped her overcome many obstacles including the death of her 3 children and beating Cancer. Her joy was most apparent when surrounded by family during celebrations filled with music, a testament to her vibrant spirit. She will be missed by many but her spirit will continue.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Trino and Amada Martinez, her beloved children, Robert and Rey Garcia, and Rosie Doyle, and her husband, Arthur Gonzales.

She is survived by her brothers, Trino (Lillie) Martinez and John (Alma) Martinez; sisters, Mary Alice (Oscar) Galvan, Aurora Estrada, Patty, and Norma Martinez. Grandchildren, Brittney Doyle, Buddy Garcia and David Rey Garcia; 5 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A Memorial service to honor Eva's life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 , at 10 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cancer Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation, in memory of Eva's giving spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.
