Eusebio G. Lopez, 89, of Corpus Christi Texas, passed away on Tuesday May 14, 2024.
Eusebio G. Lopez worked at CCAD for 35 years when he retired. He did many of these years in the Fuel Control Shop. He then went into Flight Test Hanger 44 as a Crew Chief and an Inspector. He also worked in the Power Train & Rotor head Shop as an Inspector. His last position before he retired was a Quality Control Inspector. Once retired he went to work at Corpus Christi Islander Campus and then onto McTurbine for 18 years. During all this time he made time to coach our baseball & softball teams. Coaching at Gulf Coast Little League, Westside and Southside. His love for baseball kept him playing in the Kiwanis Senior Softball League for years. He played until he was 82. He enjoyed traveling with his team to different tournaments out of state, also enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Ursula and always made time for his kids and grandkids life.
He lived his life to the fullest and we all know he loved it!
May he rest in peace and always know he was a great husband, father and man. May he keep playing baseball in Heaven.
He is survived by his wife Ursula O. Lopez sister Elvira G. Lopez and brother Robert Lopez. Three sons Albert Lopez, Rudolph (Becky) Lopez, Alfred (Katy) Lopez. One daughter Patricia Ann (Johnny) Garcia Grandchildren Megan (Stephanie) Thompson, Katherine (Jose) Sanchez, Dominic (Lauren) Lopez, Ryan C. Thompson, Gabrielle Marie Lopez, Leo (Serena) Rodriguez, Josh (Casey) Rodriguez, Amber (Randell) Martinez, Johnny Joe (Kelli) Garcia and Vallory A. Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia E. Lopez for 41 years and siblings Jesse Lopez. Olga Cortez, Hortencia Escobar, Cipriana Flores, Alicia Navarro.
Numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 21st from 4-8pm. Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue the following day at 9am-12:30pm at Guardian Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church at 1pm with the Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 2:30pm.
