Eusebio "Ed" Deases, 92, went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Deases on November 21, 2015. They were married on May 10, 1946. He was born in Refugio, Texas on March 11, 1924 to Eusebio Deases, Sr., and Josefina Quintero Deases. Mr. Deases served his country proudly during World War II in the Army South Pacific. He retired from the FAA in 1972 as Radar Chief, after commissioning a new radar site in Laredo, Texas. Ed was a golfer and won several golf tournaments Pan American Golf Association, Championship Flight and played golf most of his adult life, also loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Vince (Linda) Deases of Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter, Kathy (Glenn) Moss of California, grandchildren, Steven and James Deases, Brandi, Mark, Sherri, Camille and Christian Moss, and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Guardian funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Rd.
