Eugene L. Anderson, 74, born in East Chicago, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 after suffering a stroke.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilford 'Bill' and Pearl Anderson; brothers: Thomas Wayne, Wilford 'Butch' of Princeton, KY, Wilford 'Lucky' Anderson of Stamps, AR; sister: Elaine Carlotta of Shereville, IN; stepson: David R. Garcia of Corpus Christi, TX.

Shortly after his graduation from high school in 1966, Eugene enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam. Eugene moved to Corpus Christi in 1970 and never went back! He said he couldn't take the winters. He worked at ADM "The Grain Elevator," starting there in 1975 and retiring in 2008, at the age of 62.

He was a simple man, laid back and easy going. He found great joy in recreational actives like fishing, watching all kinds of sports and western shows, but mostly he enjoyed his Bud and Winston's, that in the end got the best of him.

His good deeds go before him; his love will live in our hearts, forever.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 41 years Oralia R. Anderson; daughter: Sarah Anderson; step-daughter: Norma (Timothy) Atwood; sisters: Lisa Ann Taborn, Linda, Helen Anderson; brothers: Albert and Richard Zarate Anderson; grandchildren: Amanda and Angelica Rojas, David Garcia Jr.; along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved.

Public visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel with the Burial and Full Military honors to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
