Esther Sauceda Steele was born on May 13, 1960 in Gregory, Tx to Ramona Reyes and resided in Corpus Christi, Tx most of her life.

Esther graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1978 and began learning trades from an early age. She began her work life at the early age of 15 and had been a single strong independent mother most of her life. There was no challenge too big she could not overcome, always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a business woman who by herself started her own tax business- Steele's Tax Service. She loved all her clients dearly. Esther was a devout Christian who attended church regularly. She was a friend to every person she met and never at a loss of shared wisdom. She had a tenacious appetite for knowledge and always had a story to tell.

She is preceded in death by Ramon Reyes and late husband Magdaleno Acosta.

Esther leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, children Richard (Gracie) Acosta, Cesar Daniel Acosta and Anthony Romero. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren Richard Acosta, Anastacia Acosta, Daniel Acosta, Nathaniel Acosta, Ianna Mendoza and Elijah Acosta; mother Ramona Reyes; sisters Ruth Almendarez, Tillie Michales; brothers Felix Sauceda, Ramon Reyes and Elias Reyes; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank her numerous dear friends who were there with her during her time of need.

Viewing service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

On T hursday, April 22, 2021 viewing will be starting at 8:30 a.m. with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home with Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 8200 Old Brownsville Rd.
