Estela Watson Tijerina, age 94, passed away on February 12, 2026. She was born in 1931, in San Antonio, Texas and was raised in Rio Grande City, Texas.

Estela married Alfredo in 1952 and made Corpus Christi their home. She was employed by Corpus Christi Municipal Court for many years before moving to Calallen in 1977, where she and Al opened the Four Seasons Nursery. After 24 years they moved to San Antonio to enjoy their retirement. Some of her favorite activities included collecting Depression-era antiques, trying new ethnic restaurants, cooking and spending time with family. She will be remembered for her fun-loving personality and being the life of the party.

Estela is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Tijerina, parents, Estela Uribe Watson and Robert Lee Watson, and siblings Nellie Mendiola, and Robert Watson.

Left to cherish her memories are her children David, Rebecca (Curtis Pestana), and Daniel (Cecilia). She is also survived by her brother James Watson (Pearl), four grandchildren and 8 great-grand children.

A celebration of life will be held in Corpus Christi at a later date as well as an internment ceremony at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
