Espiridion Echevarria Salazar completed his earthly journey on July 11, 2022 at the age of 83.
He was born July 12, 1938 to Fannie and Espi Salazar. Espi was a graduate of Roy Miller High School where he was a proud trumpet player in the Battling Buc Band. He attended Barber School in San Antonio, Texas when upon completion he worked at Marcelo's Barber Shop. He was also employed at HEB Bakery for over 20 years until he retired.

He was married to his wife Audelia Salazar for 35 years. Espi had two daughters Anna Hernandez and Angelica Garcia and two step-sons Raul Santos and Ruben Santos; sister Ruth "Cookie" Oppermann. He is survived by 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Espi was friendly to everyone, he knew someone everywhere he went, he especially loved praying over people. He always reminded his family to have faith in God and to Thank God "Gracias a dios", "It's not on our timing, it's on God's timing." He was a strong man of faith and will be dearly missed.

Public Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A with the Catholic Chapel Service to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. that morning. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m.
