Esperanza Celeste Galvan Flores 58, passed Saturday, February 6, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Celeste was born in 1962 to Juan and Rosa Flores of Corpus Christi, TX, where she was raised and attended Roy Miller High School. It was there that she found her passion for photography, becoming a photographer and editor for the school's yearbook club.
As a child, she was described as rambunctious and free spirited.
Throughout her life, Celeste had a fun-loving personality, a great love for music, dancing, cooking and capturing life's moments through photos. She was a doting mother and a proud and loving grandmother to her three granddaughters. Her greatest love in life was caring for others, so much so, that her occupation in life was a nurse. Her entire life she selflessly took care of everyone around her and she made friends everywhere she would go. She was a strong woman, the glue that held everyone together.
Celeste was preceded in death by her father, Juan Flores and her Stepfather, Jose Garcia.
She is survived by her mother; Rosa Flores, two children; Jose Galvan Jr. and Giselle Garcia and her son-in-law, Rudy Garcia Jr. As well as, grandchildren; Adreanah Salazar, Aubree Garcia and Avery Garcia. She also leaves behind her beloved partner, Roy Lerma, siblings; Josefina Garza, Laura Carpentier, Rosario Flores, Consuelo Franco, and honorary brother and dear friend, Americo Escamilla. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews, as well. Lastly, Celeste was an amazing and dear friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who were graced with the chance to know her.
Celeste wishes were to be cremated and she did not a funeral service. The family will be holding a memorial in her honor on Saturday, February 20th. For details, please contact (361)739-0600.
