IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ernie Galvan
Ⅲ
May 6, 1973 – November 30, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ernesto (Ernie) Galvan III, age 52 of Corpus Christi, Texas. Ernie was a generous, genuine, caring man. He lived his life in continuous care of others up until his last hours of his life.
Ernie was a Marvel comic fan and we always told him he looks like the Incredible Hulk in human form. He had tremendous strength but was a gentle giant who spoke softly and gave advice and care with deep meaning. He was an old soul.
Ernie always protected the weak and his actions were always in line with what was righteous and honorable.
Ernie was extremely inquisitive and filled his time inventing gadgets and problem solving. He was a kind businessman. In his personal life he loved Marvel and DC comics. He was a huge Star Wars fan. He loved playing video games to unwind.
Ernie was extremely quick witted and had a great sense of humor. If he was aware that you were experiencing a difficult day, he possessed the ability to positively influence your mood and bring about laughter.
His personality was always to protect, defend and support his family and friends. He was very close with his childhood friends and when you made it past the handshake you were in his protective circle. He had such a loving heart.
When Ernie was a teenager, he was a skate boarder and he and his friends would spend days exploring the town. He built and manufactured microchips in his 20s in Austin. He worked in Technology in Houston and later came back to Corpus Christi to support his brother and father in the family business.
Ernie was our mother's favorite child and we siblings are ok with that fact. We always said Ernie had my mother's heart.
Ernie Galvan III leaves behind his father, Ernesto Galvan II of Corpus Christi; mother, Cookie Canales Montez of Houston; step father, Rudy Montez; eldest sister, Linda R of Houston (sister in law Telise L); sister, Jeanie Galvanni of Houston; sister Ericka Galvan Ransom of Aransas Pass (niece Jacqueline Jeanie Ransom and nephew Christopher Dean Ransom); brother, Jonathan C. Galvan of Corpus Christi (nephew John Galvan Jr and nephew Hayden Preston Galvan), and sister, Madeline Boone (nephew James Nathan Boone II).
Proudly serving as pallbearers: Jonathan Galvan, Paul Fairfield, Linda R, Rudy Montez, Telise L, and Eddie Vasquez.
Ernie's family appreciates your love and support in honoring their request for their private graveside service. Flowers can be sent to Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi.
