On January 28, 2023, Ernesto R. Soliz, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Ernesto worked as a Welder, Forman and Pipefitter for Berry Fabricators LLC for many years he retired in 1992. His hobbies were Fishing, watching sports, working on Computers and other electronics and as well as playing game slots and spending quality time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother and Grandfather.

Ernesto was born to the late Ernesto H. Soliz & Sara R. Soliz, on April 14, 1937, in Benavides, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernesto H. Soliz & Sara R. Soliz and two sons Ruben Soliz, Sr & Lewis Ernesto Soliz

Survived by his loving Wife Margarita R. Soliz whom he was married to for 66 years; his children: Rudy R. Soliz, Sr. (Marissa), Christine Soliz Rosas (Marcos) and Christopher Soliz including 14 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

We are sincerely grateful for the family & friends who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss. The family would also like to express gratitude to his providers Rosie Cortez & Bert Esparza in addition to Opus Hospice care.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel ''A" with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5830 Williams Drive. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd.
