Mr. Ernesto G. Reyes, age 79 was reunited with the Lord on January 10, 2014. He was born on October 16, 1934 to Felipe and Victoria Reyes of San Diego, Texas. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.There is a rhyme and a reason in God's individual plan and destiny to have crossed paths with our father and friend who touched our lives in a special loving way. He was a man of few words, but with a big kind heart willing to always lend a helping hand. He was a devoted hunter, carpenter, and an excellent cook always surrounded by family and friends. He will be greatly missed, but will live within our hearts for an eternity. Ernesto is survived by his wife of 53 years Angelica Reyes, one daughter, Adela, two sons, Ernesto, Jr. and Gustavo (Glynis) along with six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Other survivors include one sister, Eufracia Reyes, two brothers, Enrique Reyes(Dolores) of Santa Fe. Texas, Federico Reyes of San Diego, Texas. Visitation and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Guardian funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic church, 3210 SPID. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in San Diego cemetery in San Diego, Texas.
