Ernesto "Ernie" B. Flores III, beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend was called home to be with Jesus Christ, his Savior, on March 7, 2023 at the age of 73. He was born on October 21,1949 in Falfurrias, Texas to his loving parents, Ernesto Flores Jr. and Guadalupe Bayarena Flores.
Ernie graduated in 1967 from Mary Carroll High School. He was an Industrial Inspector with Walter Rossler Company. He continued to work as an Inspector for Coastal States Refinery. In his later years, he began to work as a private Inspector and traveled all over the world.
He was a man of few words but loved to tell stories from his traveling years of work. He met some incredible people along the way who quickly became dear friends. His family also experienced wonderful vacations through his work of travel. He was committed to his work and to his family. He was dependable, generous, giving, loyal, and strong. He was well respected by his colleagues and friends.
Ernie enjoyed coaching his daughters and loved spending time outdoors at the ranch with his wife and family.
He was proud of all his children and grandchildren and was actively involved in their academic and sporting events. A man of great faith, he prayed with his wife and daughters, modeling the love of God.
Ernesto is preceded in death by, and joins in heaven, his father, Ernest Flores, Jr. and mother, Guadalupe "Lupita" Bayarena Flores, his daughter, Debra Ann (called home at her birth) and his Son-in-law, Jose Rolando Gonzalez. He leaves behind the love of his life, Linda Flores whom he married on February 13, 1971, two daughters that he adored: Annette (Rick) Hinojosa, and Denise (Late Jose Rolando) Gonzalez, three loving brothers, Rolando B. Flores, Eddie Flores, and Arnold Flores and six grandchildren that he fiercely loved: Matthew, Michael, Maddox, Madelyn Hinojosa and Mason and Jax Gonzalez. Ernie also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whom he cherished.
All Funeral Services will be on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Corpus Christi Cathedral, 505 N Upper Broadway, Corpus Christi, TX 78401 , Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary and Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 3:00 p.m.
