Ermelinda Lerma, age 57, was called by our Lord on September 7, 2023, in North Carolina. Ermelinda was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 7,1966 to Eusebio P. Lerma and Jovita Alonso Lerma.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Ermelinda lived over 30 years in North Carolina and made it her permanent residence, where she met so many people who eventually became her North Carolina family.  Ermelinda was known to many as a kind, loving, humble and overall happy person.  She always saw the good in all things and all people. She will be dearly missed; however, she will always be remembered for her love of laughter, her acts of kindness and most important devotion to her family and friends.

Ermelinda Lerma is preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio P. Lerma, Sr. and Jovita Alonso Lerma.

Ermelinda Lerma is survived by her daughters, Gabriela Francesca and Tereza Anahi: her granddaughter Anastacia; her brothers Arcadio Leyva (Maria), Eusebio A. Lerma, Jr.; her sisters Esmy L. Gomez (Manuel) and Grace Lerma-Sagrero (Joel); and several nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends starting at 5:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel "B".

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic church 2509 Nogales/MacArthur. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
