Eric Gerald Wruble passed away on September 3, 2024, age 80, after a short battle with cancer. Eric was born in Detroit Michigan where he was raised and graduated high school. After graduation he joined the Marines and then the Army. Serving two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded  the distinguished flying cross during his second tour in Vietnam.

While in the Marines he met his wife of 54 years , Lupe Wruble.  They started their life together in 1966 and welcomed two loving  sons in 1968 and 1972. They lived in many places during their life together thanks to the military.

Eric opened a flight school in Enterprise Alabama in the early 90s. After his second retirement he and his wife came back to Texas to build their forever home on Baffin Bay. Where he enjoyed fishing daily with his friends and family. He also loved watching his Detroit Lions.

Eric is proceeded in death by his wife Lupe; parents Stanley and Evelyn Wruble; brothers Richard and Vern and his sister Nancy.

Eric is survived by his two sons: Brian Wruble (Merritt) and Randy Wruble; Granddaughter Shellbie Wruble; Sister Carroll Rodgers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
